Patricia Jimenez and Javier Berrios Get Married in San Juan, Puerto Rico

Share
I was playing beach volleyball in the British Virgin Islands when Javier arrived in his boat with a friend. They joined our game, and we spent more time together that night at Bitter End Yacht Club. Later that year, we saw each other at La Placita in Santurce, and our love story started.
He proposed on April 5, 2012 in Orlando, Florida. He popped the question at the beginning of the fireworks at Epcot Center, on top of a bridge surrounded by colorful spring flowers. For the rest of our time at Disney World, I felt like Cinderella.
Our wedding day was amazing. The wedding coordinator took care of everything, and we enjoyed every second of it. Javi and I visited every table at the reception and spent quality time with our family and friends. The guest feedback was great; our guests couldn’t stop sending pictures and re-telling fun stories the next day.
The wedding decor was beautiful and romantic. Julio and Emilio from Flora by Arquetipo did an amazing job with the vintage decorations. The room was lit by candles; the table arrangements had tall trees, white roses and aromatic freesia; and there were lanterns in lounge areas.
The Condado Vanderbilt Hotel is one of the most glamorous hotels in San Juan, Puerto Rico with dramatic ocean views, timeless elegance and impeccable service. The food, prepared by sous chef Jorge Petterson, was amazing. The entertainment started with Gilberto Santa Rosa, better known as “El Caballero de la Salsa,” and at 3 a.m., we were surprised by Wiso G, one of the first MCs of Latin hip-hop and reggae. At the end of our wedding day, our expectations where exceeded. We both felt so happy, excited, proud of each other, fulfilled and complete.
